Sometimes a company well known in making one product limbs out into other areas to make profit on its reputation. Montblanc, a century-old producer of mechanical pencils, ballpoint pens and fountain pens, acted specifically that way. In 1997, the corporation expanded its manufacturer product line to include jewellery and luxurious watches.
